  There are no words that can express the amazing ability of Dr. Philip Paty. He saved my mothers life! We brought my Mom to the ER after losing vision in her right eye in May of this year, she had previously suffered from a stroke after an endarterectomy that was performed by a surgeon in The Vascular Group in January 2016, this stroke left her paralyzed on her right side. Upon the May 2017 admission my mother was inpatient at St. Peters Hospital, under the care of The Vascular Group for 16 days, my family and I were at a loss. I also knew that I could not have their surgeons perform any procedures on my Mom again related to her vasculature after her previous outcome. She laid there declining with no actions being taken to determine where her blood loss was coming from. This lack of determination led to a severe decline in my mothers overall being. At a complete loss I searched and found Dr. Paty....His assistant/case manager Ellen, and Leah one of the receptionists were phenomenal. They immediately jumped into action on a Thursday and contacted St.Peters, had my mother ready for discharge on Friday, and ready for admission to Glens Falls Hospital on Friday. Upon arriving at the hospital, Dr. Paty had cardiology, laboratory, and radiology see her immediately, and she was scheduled for surgery that very next morning on a Saturday at 8am. She was so afraid on our way to Glens Falls and then met Dr. Paty and was immediately comforted. He amazingly performed an endarterectomy on her right side. SHE CAME OUT OF SURGERY AND MOVED HER RIGHT LEG WHICH HAD NOT MOVED IN A YEAR AND A HALF!!!!! HE TRULY IS A MIRACLE WORKER!!!! AND, NEEDLESS TO SAY HER HERO! Without him and his office staff, I am not sure where my Mom would be, if here at all. The expertise and customer service of this group is excellent, ehich I cannot say that i have experienced before, and I am a Nurse. Glens Falls Hospital also fills that same bill of excellence. I cannot say enough to thank all of those that have been involved after her discharge from St. Peters.
